I went round my media class and asked which image they preferred/ which one represented the advertisement more, I recorded this with a tally chart.

6 of the students said the first image, but 13 said image 2.

As of this second opinion, I decided to choose image 2.

Information about magazine: When stated number 1 of 6, this was the first issue, for the month of May meaning that a new issue of the magazine gets released each month only in the summer season in Ibiza; May to October. 

Gecko was my final choice for my title. Geckos are lizards belonging to the infraorder Gekkota, found in warm climates throughout the world. Geckos are the main animals in Ibiza that live outside e.g. Pigeons in London.

With the font size, I made the title the biggest font, descending to the tagline, to main coverlines to coverlines, to then the details of the magazine e.g. when its being issued.

The reason for the white colour font all round was that I felt this was the only colour that really stood out on the page, it gives the magazine a more organised and professional feel with the pure white.

I found the palm trees in the background gave a beach feel.

The reason for changing the models top was i felt the previous top didn't fit well with the music theme, where as now this top is advertising a music club.

To draw in the audience I put "chance to win tickets" and "hottest tracks of 2016" creating the audience to wanting to be in the known of what music they should be listening to and to be drawn in by getting a chance to go to a festival or concert for free.

Story of how magazine cover was created

1-2 Increased contrast, brightness and saturation.

Changed top to create a clearer theme to the magazine; Pacha is a nightclub.

2-3 Added title.

3-4 Photoshopped the 'C' in 'GECKO' to have it behind the models head rather than in front, I felt this gave a more professional and cleaner look.

4-5 Added a gecko to the title, creating the magazine to have a logo.

5-6 Added barcode and date;basics of the magazine.

6-7 Added the tagline

7-8 Added main coverlines and coverlines.
